I’m having a hard time transitioning into my fall wardrobe. I always have this problem- I get so excited for the new fall fashions and I dream about wearing rich colors, textures, and layers. Then when it comes time to switch, I sort of stall. WHY? Oh, just because Oklahoma can’t ever decide if it wants to have an actual “Fall” this year or not. So right now, even though my office has switched back to “business” dress code (which REQURIES me to wear pantyhose) it’s in the 90s.
Yes. Pantyhose. In 100 degree heat. Kill me.
It’s usually cool enough in the mornings and evenings, but daytime is just as sticky and hot as ever. Question: What’s a gal to do?
Answer: cardigan that ish up!
Lightweight, jersey, and even LACE cardigans are everywhere right now, and perfect for throwing over my (usually sleeveless. shhh….) work tops while I’m in the office or in meetings. PLUS they’re easily thrifted so you won’t break the bank. I also love throwing them over t-shirts and jeans on weekends. Perfect comfortable, no matter how professional during the week!
Grab a few staple-solids, and a few fun ones with embroidery or a print and you’re all set to wait (and wait and wait) for the Fall weather to arrive!
Today I’m wearing a black cardigan over a pretty embroidered camisole. I’ve got like, three black cardigans in various styles and cuts. I’ve also got several cream-colored cardigans. My favorite retail place to find them is Target. You can buy trendy cardigans for reasonable prices and not have to worry about whether or not they’re going to wear out of fall apart before the trend passes.

Ooh, I just love a good cardigan! So glad that it's the season for them again.
I love cardigans and I honestly wear them throughout EVERY season because they can honestly turn any outfit from shab to fab.
Oh yes. I rock the cardigan at work all year because it's always below zero in my office. I'm wearing one today also.
I am a cardigan QUEEN. I have tons. I just ordered a new one from Target, and I can't wait to hit the thrift stores for some more!
